At 4pm on Saturday the 27/09/2003 I reached Edinburgh Castle and the end of the walk. This close to the end I find it exceedingly hard to put into words the emotions I felt at the end, but I would very much like to thank everyone who has helped in any number of ways - thanks to you all.

On the trip I have eaten eighty-seven apples, drunk 123 pints, and forty-two cans of Red Bull. These are totals for the time when I was walking; if you count evenings then all of these (especially the pints count) go up considerably.

I have also had seven blisters, and have had sixteen days off. I have been walking for a total of 107 days, 11 hours and 55 minutes, and have had 12 days, 3 hours and 59 minutes of rest during that time.

During the walk I took 18,183 photographs, of which 13,304 appear on this website. This equates to 2.9 photographs taken per mile, or 52 per day!
